Recent votes tallied in favor of what some refer to as reproductive rights or healthcare flew under the radar of other celebratory wins, in many states swiftly solidifying abortion access into their constitutions. God continues to expose rebellious hearts who love the death of the innocent, but this isn’t the first time the desires of death took over the minds of this nation.
Many states allowed and battled over slavery for decades until it was abolished nationally. During that time, people wanted to dehumanize others so much that they risked their lives to keep the status quo, but through God’s ordained power, the unionized abolitionists eventually overcame the evil of the confederate moderates who wanted to allow states to decide the value of human lives.
During the strenuous local and statewide battles, many slaveowners moved to confederate states just so they could continue to live out the institution of slavery. Meanwhile, many slaves escaped via the underground railroad into safe territory. Many armored up and fought for their own freedom.
Ironically, it turned out the ones who tried to flee the union’s newfound freedom from slavery were also enslaved. They were enslaved to the cultural narratives of the time that some humans should remain bound in order for their land to be free. It’s these same ideals twisting their way through education and the media airwaves today, targeting younger generations with dehumanizing lies.
Women fighting for reproductive rights have been enslaved to the false premise that enslaving their own children to the slaughterhouse agenda will somehow empower them. It sends women running across state lines in desperate attempts to escape laws limiting their freedom only to find themselves stripping their own children of theirs. In the confusion, they are told this makes them victims like the slaves, but all the while, they’ve adopted similar ideals propagated by slave owners. Although these cultural narratives may seem to work temporarily, like slavery, deception will not withstand the test of time when faced with the adversity of God’s truth. Instead of finding freedom and empowerment, the participants move into the future held captive by their own murderous deed.
Slavery didn’t set the new world free historically and abortion has not set women free today. Both only chained millions of valuable lives to false promises, false hope, and to the destiny of a false dream full of bondage and destruction.
Still, many suggest that freedom is found in the power of personal choice. During times of legalized slavery, there were many moderates who stood behind the freedom of choice; they believed it was okay for others to own slaves as long as they refused to participate in the unfruitful works of darkness themselves. Instead, they looked the other way and cast their vote at the ballot box. However, God disagreed. His Word commands His people to expose the works of darkness, fight for justice, and deliver the weak and needy from the hand of the wicked. The apathetic act of looking away is like a muddied spring or polluted fountain to Him. Those who fear God are commanded to love their neighbors by hating, exposing, actively fighting, and bringing justice to evil. Christ is the Prince of Peace who came with a sword of truth.
Although the devil thrives on division, not all division is from the enemy; when it comes to crimes against humanity, as demonstrated in the Civil War, God uses division to rid of evil and unite under common righteous virtues. At the same time, God is not always on the side of unity. Both unity and division can be used for good or evil purposes. Dividing over insignificant issues is just as evil as uniting over immoral compromise. Allowing crimes against humanity in the state ballot box is a crime against humanity in itself. Sacrificing children to other gods is also no insignificant issue; it is a soul-fire spiritual battle. Division will continue to reign in abortion because compromise cannot coexist with the death of the innocent.
It is self-evident that every human being has unalienable rights endowed by the Creator, among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. No one has the right to decide that it’s permissible to dehumanize and intentionally harm some humans, depriving them of these basic human rights. Abortion implies that a woman owns her child who is tucked safely inside her womb. The child becomes her slave to do with what she will, except this time unlike the slavery of the past, there will be no fight or desperate plea from the voiceless. There will be no dream of deliverance or an underground railroad to help her slave escape into the night. Her child will never know the breath of freedom.
Her slave’s short life will be one of captivity and unjust suffering at the hands of the ones trusted to love him/her the most. These aborted slaves leave this world before they see it, unknown and unwanted behind closed doors of legal murder factories, while their existence lives on only in the secret torments of their captors’ memories.
Abortion forcefully kills a human life; like slavery, it will have its day of national reckoning and redemption for future generations, but not before its harsh reality divides hearts, minds, and souls. Protecting the innocent should be a united front, but the basic human right to life is not a compromise; it is an all-out war. It will only end when the abolitionist union rises unwilling to surrender for anything less than the truth, when we the people declare that their precious lives are worth every battle, that every slave in the womb is a human being worth dying for.
For now, it may seem like abortion is winning, but the abolitionists fighting for freedom will not settle for the moderate mindset to leave it up to the states. In time, good will overcome the evil of the modern-day confederates who fight to own and dehumanize human beings made in God’s image.
Jesus remains on the throne. Slavery will not always prevail in the land of the free. The weakness of child sacrifice will not always stand in the home of the brave. Its battles may draw blood, sweat, and tears, but like slavery, abortion is already wicked and unjust. It is already immoral. It is already unconstitutional. It will be abolished.
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

Psalm 37:27-29,34

is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.
