Christ didn’t conquer the world with knowledge. His truth was displayed through the power of sacrificial love.
Even the devil can teach the knowledge of God’s Word, but he won’t have the depth of eternal humility Christ demonstrated on the cross.
The Kingdom is built through sweat and tears of disciples living in the gratitude of undeserved grace and mercy.
If we are filled with knowledge, let it be the knowledge of our depravity. Let it be the knowledge of our unearned freedom. Let it be the knowledge of what we deserve and the power of love that Jesus gave us instead.
Let it be the knowledge of our need to decrease, so that He may increase. Let it be the knowledge of our opportunity to become nothing before a mighty transformational God who brings dead souls to life.
Let it be the knowledge of our resurrected Savior who gave sinners a taste of heaven only because
He is.
If I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. – 1 Corinthians 13:2
For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. – Galatians 6:3
We know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God. – 1 Corinthians 8:1-3
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. – Romans 5:6-10
