Many people hold off on the calling of God because they don’t feel good enough. They don’t fit in, their circumstance isn’t ideal, or they’re not supported or known. All they see are obstacles from where they are to where they think they need to be.
It doesn’t help that the church system and many well-known Christian influencers emphasize seminary education as if a resume of achievement is a qualification to live for Christ, but this is not how God selects His chosen. A seminary education is not an anointing.
There is more than one path to purpose and God uses many methods to equip His chosen. He’s not looking only for those who wear a badge of accolades, those who feel good enough, or those who are known and supported. He’s looking for those who have full faith and trust in Him, those who are willing to be molded and look like fools to the world, and those who love Him and carry the sword of truth regardless of education, ability, or circumstance.
God’s Kingdom is not supposed to fit in with this world. He has called us out of the world. It honors God to proclaim the gospel and embark on a ministry journey trusting fully in Him, not in the ways of the world.
The ways of the world do not have the power to hold you back from God’s calling. He is the source of wisdom and the One who equips the called. Although the Spirit desires knowledge, God is glorified through our flaws and weaknesses.
He already chose you. He created you and He knows how you learn. The way He molds you doesn’t need to look like it does for others. Don’t listen to those who try to discourage you from what God has for you.
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. – 1 Corinthians 1:27-29
And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
