A divided nation gathers around the Lindsay Clancy trial trying to digest the ghastly details of her children’s final moments. In the spreading debates and moral conflict, the only conclusion most can agree on is the crime’s brutality. It seems appalling to the very nature of motherhood to turn against her own, but this dark betrayal is not rare. It merely highlights the storms of death that have been suppressed under the surface of this nation.
If workout bands seem horrifying, imagine sitting through trials where children were violently suctioned into tiny pieces or dismembered alive before being tossed out like trash. Most wouldn’t even want to sit through the graphic testimony and details of such inhumane crimes, and certainly not over 70 million of them. The feat would be virtually impossible; one trial per week would take over 1.3 million years to get through them all.
The apathy toward life and injustice has boiled to the surface through shocking news reels, but it didn’t just begin. The Creator has been exposing the fruit of a nation with over 50 years of legal innocent bloodshed.
We live in a society where human beings in the womb are labeled parasites, harvested for profit, and treated like biohazard waste.
Of course there’s going to be injustice. Of course there’s going to be waves of pride. Of course there’s going to be mass moral confusion.
People can justify it any way they want, but in the Lord’s eyes, every human being holds equal value and there’s no stopping His truth.
Abortion is not reproductive rights or healthcare. It’s the devil masquerading as light. It’s the taking of an innocent life.
Jesus vehemently denounces the harming of children in Matthew 18:6 by suggesting a millstone drowning would be a better consequence than what He has in store. Cold-blooded murder may be a gateway into investigations, conversations, and understandings yet to be had, but it’s not excusable.
It’s unjust, it’s dark, it’s evil, and it’s wrong.
God will have the final say and He can act accordingly, but He offers mercy. His anger is beyond kindled, but His hand is stretched out still.
Repent.
Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. – Matthew 18:6
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! – Isaiah 5:20
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. – Proverbs 14:34
The violence of the wicked will sweep them away, because they refuse to do what is just. – Proverbs 21:7
Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it completely. – Proverbs 28:5
Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. – Proverbs 24:11
When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood. Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause. – Isaiah 1:15-17
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
