If you ask for more, God may give you less because He wants you to know that He is the more you are looking for.
God may allow the world to leave you lost and forsaken, abandoned and wounded, lonely and poor, and wandering hungry and thirsty in the wilderness,
but He has taken so you will know the Giver. He has let you feel the pangs of the emptiness the world has to offer, so you will know that He is your fullness, your bread of life, your living water, and your loving Father, Healer and friend.
He made you know despair, so you would know of His comfort. He made you know depletion, so you would know who beats life through your veins.
He made you taste death, so you would know who your breath comes from. He made you poor, so you would harbor the eternal riches of Christ in your soul.
