Abortion Pills: the Iceberg

Abortion debates are often hyperfocused on abortion, but abortion is just the tip of the iceberg. The focus on it often masks and avoids all the underlying evils.

Many parents who participate in abortion just want to live “free” lives and claim to be against these things, but that “freedom” comes at the cost of human lives and the perpetration of great evils.

Many who support abortion or who are apathetic to it also would not claim to support such evils, but supporting abortion or turning a blind eye to it is supporting child abuse, rape, slavery, and human trafficking. Many children are being raped and trafficked and with the abortion pill, many in the womb will continue to be killed.

Many human traffickers will be ordering the new abortion pill and forcing enslaved women and children to take them. Many child abusers will be ordering them to hide their crime and weasel out of accountability, so they can continue raping the innocent without consequence.

Keeping the option available aids criminals because they can easily get rid of the child, which is often the undeniable proof of their crimes. No one should go through such an unimaginable violation, but the hard reality is that the child is a gift of redemption for victims that leads to conviction and prison time for their abuser.

Not everyone is moved by the truth about abortion in that moment of decision during pregnancy because the fear and shame take over. Sometimes, education needs to be not so much focused on self, but on the consequences for another person if we were to act on that choice.

If the choice is to have an unexpected child or utilize adoption or baby haven services over the absolute agony of a child going through horrific rape, abuse or trafficking, it should be easy to choose the difficulty of pregnancy every time.

Acting on the choice to keep abortion legal without consequence increases crimes of child abuse, rape, slavery, and trafficking, but we hold the power to speak, support, or act on ending it.

Every moment we delay criminalization allows these crimes against humanity to continue and that blood is on our hands.
