Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. – Matthew 18:6
Crimes against children should be taken seriously. It’s easy to have empathy for people who act out from trauma, but it is not a way out of justice. Many child molesters were molested as children, but they should still get the death penalty for their crimes against children.
We live in a nation that is wrought with hidden child abuse. 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 4 boys are sexually abused. Prisons are full of people who were abused as children. As they sit in jail for their choices made in the aftermath of abuse, for the majority of them, their abuser who took their innocence, damaged their soul, and destroyed their life got away with their crimes. Many lived on to abuse many more children.
Although many have reasons to commit these sins, past trauma is not an excuse to evade justice. Likewise, many parents seeking abortion are struggling with many of life’s challenges. Many were raped and abused, but they should still pay the consequence for their crimes against children. While the children pay the price, while they are abused and thrown out in biohazard bags, the parents who stole their life got away with their crimes. Many live on to harm many more children.
God takes crimes against children very seriously. If we want a nation where children get justice, we have to take crimes against children seriously. We can’t cry out for justice for one and not the other. We either do all or none because God is vehemently against harming children, and He will show us the fruit of our ways by allowing the injustice and hypocrisy we have chosen to reign.
We may not hear about them, but God knows every single child. He hears every single soul cry. He witnesses every single suction, every single ripping, every single crushing, and every single death. He knows every single child. Just as our souls cry out for children who have been sexually abused and tortured, we should cry out for children harmed in the womb.
Society can justify it any way it wants to make abortion seem acceptable, but God is the Creator, the Judge, and the Decider. He gets the final say.
It is not good to be partial to the wicked or to deprive the righteous of justice. – Proverbs 18:5
When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood. – Isaiah 1:15
You shall not pollute the land in which you live, for blood pollutes the land, and no atonement can be made for the land for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of the one who shed it. – Numbers 35:33
So you shall purge the guilt of innocent blood from your midst, when you do what is right in the sight of the Lord. – Deuteronomy 21:9
See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish… I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live. – Deuteronomy 30:15-19
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. – Psalm 127:3
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. – Psalm 82:3-4
Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. – Proverbs 24:11
