Many young people I meet at the abortion mill are from a religious household and are afraid to talk to their Christian parents. It’s important to remember when teaching kids the ways of righteousness, that we also explain to them that if they mess up, they can come talk to us and then explain what will happen in that scenario.
Many children in the womb are killed because of this fear of being shamed and bringing shame to their home and church.
These kids are taught how to be good without the understanding of the human sinful nature and how to respond to difficult circumstances. Many of them see how others in their faith communities who have made mistakes have been shamed and talked about and treated.
It’s really important how we talk about difficult situations to and around kids. They’re absorbing all of it and what they see and hear may influence their decisions and even cost a life one day.
Our kids are human beings who will fall short at times just like we do and they need guidance on how to respond when that happens. Christian parents, I’m pleading with you to take off your pious mask, put your religious guard down, remind yourself of the sinner in need of a Savior you once were, and please talk to your kids about how you would respond to this scenario.
Be gracious and merciful, so that I won’t need to be your child and your grandchild’s last line of defense.
Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. – Proverbs 24:11
