God’s Calling for a Grace Transition

For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. – John 1:16

It’s really important to remember how much grace God has given us and continues to give us day after day. It’s important to look inward before we ever look outward. It doesn’t mean we never speak or fight for justice. It means we don’t do these things on impulse without seeking the Lord first just because others are doing it. Not everyone needs to be publically exposed and drilled about accountability.

Jesus often went to the outcasts that society rejected to show mercy and grace purely based on their faith, not based on the struggle they’re battling. He meets people where they are, but sees and treats them with Kingdom eyes, based on who they will become through His love and grace. He’s more interested in the future testimony than in the current situation.

The lack of grace among Christ-professing people toward struggling and newer believers has been astounding. These are not people who have committed heinous crimes; they’re just working out their salvation and going through a spiritual storm.

This behavior is dangerous because it crushes and isolates people, especially newer believers, and the devil is prowling around looking for someone to devour.

Recent exposures are not false professions of faith or detransitioners who wrestle with decades of an old self. It’s the Christ-professing who have yet to transition out of their fiery tongues and self-righteousness. A group that refuses to plant or water, yet still expects the Lord’s fruit to grow.

Judgment begins in the household of God and the bride is being tested.

Do you really know mercy? Do you know that you need the grace of God every moment of every day? Are you really carrying the renewed heart of the Savior?

Are you really trying to please God or are you just jumping on a media bandwagon that avoids self-reflection and introspection?

The Lord is not only a perfect judge, but He is also the light of the world, seasoned with salt and showered in grace.

God is the potter. The Holy Spirit is the convictor and sanctifier. It’s not our job to mold people; it’s our job to love them while Christ molds them.

It’s important to use discernment before speaking about others and remember how much grace we need every single day because the judgment we use for others will be used back on us.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. – Proverbs 18:21

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. – James 1:19-20

For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. – James 2:13

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth…For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. – John 1:14,16-17

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. – Ephesians 2:1-9
