The angel of the underworld is a master of disguise. He clothes himself in counterfeit character filled with false light, comforting experiences, and deceptive love. His experiences entice the eyes, provide instant gratification, comfort feelings, and gratify the desires of the flesh. His costumes of humor, glam, uprightness, and innocent idolatry mask his evil nature and his hatred of mankind.
One of his greatest delusions is convincing people that he isn’t real or his spiritual presence and rituals are no big deal while they participate in his deceptions.
Halloween has been sold to the masses as a light-hearted holiday for kids, but celebrating it is participating in the unfruitful works of darkness. It’s taking the most innocent souls among us into places the demons gather.
Many suggest that the saved are protected, but that’s precisely the point of the enemy’s snare. It’s not about that. It’s about who is influenced. It’s hard to know where children are at spiritually.
The devil comes masquerading as an angel of light because he knows it will be easier for the flesh to justify. He turns rituals into disguises and candy hunting games and demonic mediums into horror movies and haunted houses,
but it’s not just candy, entertainment, and fun. It’s walking into a web of witchcraft and allowing satan to plant dark seeds into people’s lives. Putting a different label on it or avoiding dark costumes does not change its demonic nature or the truth of God’s Word.
There is nothing about Halloween that glorifies God. We can’t take something rooted in demons and use it for God. His Word tells us to not participate and to be separate. He tells us to not even have the appearance of evil.
The founder of the church of satan, Anton LaVey, said, “I’m glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year.”
Children of God live in eternal light that can’t be taken, but the enemy celebrates every time those who claim to know the Savior lead others into his dark schemes.
I’m glad for disagreement because maybe it means some haven’t met these demons up close. That makes me grateful. We can disagree and love one another, but as your sister in Christ, I plead with you to please listen to those who have seen the depths of darkness and have battled these tormenting demons. I plead with you, my friend.
They’re coming after your children. Please protect them.
The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. – Romans 13:12
Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ – John 8:12
But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. – 1 Corinthians 8:9
Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God. – 3 John 11
Abstain from every form of evil. – 1 Thessalonians 5:22
Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil. Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on. For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble. – Proverbs 4:14-16
‘Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me,’ says the Lord Almighty. – 2 Corinthians 6:17-18
Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.’ – Matthew 19:14
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. – Matthew 18:6
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. – 1 Peter 5:8
I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? – 1 Corinthians 10:20-22
And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. – 2 Corinthians 11:14-15
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. – Ephesians 5:11-12
