He was predestined before the womb.
Outwardly a simple man, he was inwardly a wise visionary and a humble yet courageous spirit. Raised in the Lord, His ministry began young and was short-lived, but effective.
People of all ages were drawn to his words and the content of his character. Some rejected him, but even some of his own enemies would become his distant allies.
He sacrificed His time to battle darkness, speak truth with boldness, encourage children, and correct opponents with gentleness,
not to bring in something new, but to fight for the foundational traditions of old. His ministry that began in a small hidden location grew, reaching countless souls.
His life was inspirational and thought-provoking, but his imminent death that the devil thought would silence his message only sparked the torch underneath a generation of Holy Spirit fire warriors.
His legacy will always be remembered. He will go down in history as the fearless one who rose to the challenge, the one who showed up with conviction and compassion to shine his light into so many lives and change so many hearts. His presence in this world was temporary, but glorious, changing the span of time.
His death that was witnessed by many rang through the nations like an earth-shaking wail, but his temporary defeat was planted like a seed that would sprout into generational cries of victory.
His gravesite may hold the inscriptions of a life well-lived only in memory, but his name will continue to resound from the mountains and seas and from every creature and creation as a reminder of his short life in the flesh that sent truth like rumblings through the earth into every generation yet to be born.
A humble servant walked a seemingly endless journey of sores. Then, in an instant, an empty tomb filled with supernatural power defeated darkness, sin, and death, and resurrected his followers in spirit with their King,
but before his salvation was birthed into a weary world, He came to be despised, persecuted, and hated. He came to be defeated by the ruthless sting of perceived injustice.
To this day, love, grace, mercy, and truth are the battle cries of his bleeding soldiers.
They come as friends to sacrifice, sweat, and show up to endure the heat of the battlefield and the weight of heavy armor,
knowing that their most painful stab will hurt less than the crown of thorns and not compare to the blood shed by their God.
In the Kingdom of freedom, it’s the courageously fallen who are exalted, it’s the surrendered army who gathers strength, it’s the burned fighters who become the flames, and it’s the wounded warriors losing in this world who have already won.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. – Jesus Christ, The Messiah
(John 15:12-14)
